    Carrots as generally view as a fruit but it is also a type
    vegetable. It is defined as a long pointed orange root vegetable. Though, you
    can find carrots in many varieties colour aside the traditional and popular
    colour orange; you can find in colour like purple, red, yellow, black or others.
    Eating carrots has many benefits in which many individuals don’t even realize.
    The vegetable is one of the recommended fruits many doctors give patients to
    cure some ailments. What even makes it easier is that it can be taken in its
    raw form or cooked. What makes carrots wonderful among others are; its colour,
    the appearance, the numerous benefits and uses of eating it, the crunchy
    feeling when it is being put in the mouth. 
    Carrot is also among popular fruit or vegetable root, notably rich
    in health benefits. It is clear that a carrot is not meant for only rich,
    influence personalities, societal status or others. It is affordable and
    available to all even the common in order to enjoy the benefits of eating
    carrots. I have read some years ago where carrot is being described the most
    world’s healthiest food. Some of the health benefits of carrot are reducing of
    cholesterol, prevention against heart attack, cancer-cure, improving vision and
    preventing signs of premature aging. Carrot is also a great source of both
    Vitamins K and C.
    In addition, as defined earlier that carrot as a fruit is also a
    vegetable contains some micro and macro nutrients that are required for a
    healthy body system. The body needs the nutrients contain in this fruit. The
    carrots as a simple fruit can be added to our daily food list. Though, there
    are some individuals feel carrots is not that their type of fruit. I think the
    benefits of eating carrots which shall be discussed soon will change your mind
    if you one of the types. Some of the benefits of this fruit will be highlighted
    below.
    Now, let me give you a detail of how eating of carrot which has
    numerous nutrients and compounds of organic affect human health. The following
    are the ten (10) benefits you can derive from eating carrots.
    1-      BLOOD PRESSURE: Carrots can be seen as sources of
    potassium which is being seen as vasodilator and can relax the tension in the
    blood vessels and arteries. This thereby increases blood flow and circulation,
    reducing the stress on cardiovascular system and also boosting the organ
    function throughout the body. Eating carrot has the benefit of reducing ailment
    as hypertension and heart attack.
    2-      DIGESTION:
    Carrots as a fiber aid digestion. Fiber helps by adding bulk to stool smooth
    passing through the digestive tract. It also helps in reducing the severity of
    critical conditions like constipation.
    3-      VISION IMPROVEMENT: Carrot as a source of Vitamin A is
    responsible to maintain the health of your eye. Carrot which contains Vitamin A
    also known as retinol helps the eyes to retain the ability to adjust to change
    in light moisture. Having deficiency of this vitamin in the body system can
    cause improper or difficulty seeing objects. Carrot is a rich in Vitamin A is
    good in preventing night blindness and improving our eyesight.
    4-      PREVENTION OF HEART
    DISEASES:
     It has been that
    the major factor of heart disease is high cholesterol. According to research,
    it has been discovered that the root vegetable of a carrot can reduce the
    chance of having a heart attack. Since the consumption of carrot be it raw form
    or cooked one reduces cholesterol level, therefore it is advisable to consume
    carrot if possible on a daily basis in order to prevent any related heart
    disease problems.
    5-      PREVENTION OF STROKE: Stroke as one of the critical
    condition that affects one’s life can easily be prevented with the consumption
    of this fruit called carrot. Some studies have even shown that people who eat
    more than five carrots a week are less prone to suffer stroke than those people
    who eat just one carrot a week or month. Eating a carrot on a daily basis
    reduces the risk of stroke by 68 -70 percentage.
    6-      MAINTENANCE OF
    HEALTHY SKIN
    : According to research, deficiency of Vitamin A also causes
    dryness to the skin, hair or nail. Vitamin A prevents wrinkling, pigmentation,
    uneven skin tone, blemishes and dry skin. Carrot has antiseptic qualities that
    can be as laxatives. Carrot oil is good for maintain a healthy skin or dry skin
    because the carrot oil makes the skin firmer, smoother and softer.
    7-      PROTECT TEETH AND
    GUMS:
     The consumption or
    eating of carrot possibly on a daily basis has the benefit of cleaning your
    teeth and mouth. Eating of carrot stimulates the gums and also induces excess
    saliva. The organic compounds in a carrot works like your toothbrush or
    toothpaste that washes away food particles in your teeth. The eating of carrot
    has the benefit of minerals that prevent tooth damages.
    8-      PREVENTION OF
    DIABETES:
     Diabetes as one of
    the common diseases these days need to be taken seriously. Diabetes can easily
    be prevented with consumption of carrot on a daily basis. Carrot is a good
    measure to regulate or control blood sugar level in the body due to the
    presence of carotenoids in the vegetable fruit.
    9-      BOOSTING THE HEALTHY
    IMMUNE SYSTEM:
     Carrot
    contains Vitamin C which is associated with healthy immune system. Carrot also
    contains a number of antiseptic and anti-bacteria abilities that boost the
    immune system. Eating of carrot as a source of vitamin C stimulates the service
    of white blood cells which is also an important element in the building the
    human immune system. Vitamins C also help the body in absorbing iron from plant
    foods and can help fight free radicals.
    10-  PREVENTION OF
    CANCER: 
    Consumption of carrot
    provides the body system with Beta-carotene which helps in reducing all related
    risk cancers especially the lung cancer. Various studies have shown that carrot
    reduces the risk of breast cancer and lung cancer.
    Finally, consumption of carrot in form of raw fruits, vegetables,
    juice or in any cooked form is always a healthy choice for your health and
    healthy lifestyle. Having listed all these benefits above, it is clear that
    there are other numerous benefits of eating carrots. Thus, let’s stay healthy
    by eating carrot regularly.

    1. What a coincidence! I started eating carrot over a week ago. I started eating it because I'm trying to lose weight and be more healthy. Carrots don't have a lot of calories and they are filling. So I eat them as a snack. Based on your research, is there a recommended amount of carrot we should consume a day? Also, where did you find the resource that it decreases the chance of a stroke by as much as 70%? I thought that was pretty impressive and if it is that good then maybe the American Heart Association should seriously look into this.

    3. I hate carrots for most of my lifetime but since 2 years ago I've known that carrots are good for eyesight and because i use glasses so i started to make a carrot juice along with orange and it taste amazing.
