Backache is a pain in every region of the back. It is divided into neck pain (cervix), middle back pain (thoracic), back pain (lumbar) or coccydynia (coccyx or sacral pain), depending on the affected segment. The loin area is the most common area for pain because it supports most of the weight in the upper part of the body.

Backache is a common problem that affects most people at some point in their lives. It can be caused by a wrong position when sitting or standing, uncomfortable bending or incorrect lifting of objects. A severe condition does not usually cause it.

Analgesics are, as we know, not the best possible solution for the long term. Though what can be done in case of extreme situations? The treatment must be holistic and offer a permanent solution. That is why resorting to specific more straightforward house techniques affords you that continuous lighting in a natural way. Then, in the case of back pain, take the following six ways to alleviate and relieve your pain.

Yoga for a backache

Yoga certainly helps to find the necessary support from within. It teaches us to go with the flow and is an excellent way to relieve and prevent back pain.

Just use your breath and stay with him while practising yoga. Start slowly and slide steadily, because there is no reason to rush. Move with ease and attention. You can always look for poses such as a dog upside down, a pigeon posture, a cat and cow position and a dog with the face upwards to regularly perform at least once a day.

Foods that help and harm

Some foods effectively help you against back pain. These include ginger, olive oil, turmeric, red grapes and thyme. Cooking also helps with little organic butter or coconut oil. Increase your consumption of fresh vegetables, nuts, seeds, lentils and beans.

But reduce the consumption of sugary foods, coffee, alcohol, carbonated drinks and refined carbohydrates. Also, keep a nutritious and warm diet so that your Vata stays in balance.

Stay hydrated

Because our joints consist partly of water, any form of chronic dehydration can cause pain and stiffness in the back. Drink at least 3 litres of water daily to stay hydrated and avoid tea/coffee, which in turn contributes to increased dehydration in the body. Drinking herbal tea helps reduce back pain.

Oil massage

Relaxing massages with oil show a visible and very useful result. Begin by massaging the area around the lower back and not directly in the spine. Give yourself a big hug and make sure the AC and fans are turned off!

Essential oils such as basil, ginger, lavender, eucalyptus, mint, rosemary and marjoram can be used to reduce inflammation and back pain. These can be diluted in some carrier oils such as coconut, olive oil, sweet almond, jojoba and castor. All are soothing and emotionally relaxing oils.

Vitamin C

One of the most important functions of vitamin C is to produce collagen in the body and also to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Reducing vitamin C levels contributes to increasing pain along with inflammation. The best sources for this are broccoli, kale, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, peppers and berries.

Save those extra pounds

An important reason for the decline of back pain is the pressure on the vertebrae as a result of obesity. Try to lose those pounds and stay on the ideal scale. Moreover, exercise would help to reduce the pain again. Switch to healthier food and take care of yourself.

In summary: eat healthily and do not forget your dose of vitamins and minerals. Avoid all extreme weather conditions and keep your mind clear to avoid that stress. Because giving yourself the care and peace you need is essential for a healthier and fitter life.
